The premiere completed at Mantorp Park
Despite the threatening rain clouds, the stands quickly filled up when the gates opened, and the audience was treated to world-class action from some of the fastest street cars in the world.
The gray weather over Mantorp did not dampen the mood – and the track delivered right away. Michael Westberg provided one of the day's absolute highlights when he clocked the first four of the day.
But Westberg was not alone in making the audience cheer. Jimmy Gudru offered pure entertainment in his Dodge pickup and delivered not just one, but two impressive wheel lifts that drew thunderous applause from the stands.
The day featured a perfect mix of fast times, spectacular wheel lifts, and pure folk festival – a great start to the week that sets the bar high for what’s to come.
Now the Street Week circus moves on. Tomorrow, it will take place at Dala-Järna Raceway between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
